Bossard started her career in commercial seafood at the age of 1999, after she began working aboard the F/V Sunset the 65' halibut schooner turned into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan. He has been a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard, who is married to Aritan she has joined forces in order to claim their businesses. They are both in favor of conservative and profitable management of renewable seafood resources. Otolith opened its direct market wholesale distributorship in Philadelphia after Bossard was able to return from in her home town with two daughters, Bella 3 years old and Andre one, and Andre 1, to Philadelphia. In 2007, Bossard, a mother of two children Bella aged 3 and Andre 1. She returned to Philadelphia from her native Canada, opened Otolith as a wholesale direct market seafood distributor. Bossard along with her two children Andre 10, and Isabella 12 each year return to Southeast Alaska as deckhands to catch wild salmon in summer.
